Having worked with vision impaired children for many years, I am super aware of the importance of seeking out the best in eye care for myself and my family. Evans and McMahon have consistently provided that over many years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They never disappoint, their high standards and expertise keep me coming back.

My husband and I visited this place and had a very positive experience. Lovely, friendly receptionist, qualified and amiable staff. Turns out Specsavers got my prescription wrong. Like, a LOT. Don't risk your eye health. Go to a qualified optometrist! I'm a contact lens/glasses wearer for over 20 years and was super happy with the service provided.

As a patient at this practice over many years I cannot fault their care and help to me and my family at both the Civic and the Tuggeranong offices.

The team at Evans and McMahon Tuggeranong have been sensational! Brett, Tony & Katherine were all super helpful. I contacted them late on a Friday with a painful eye concern, and the optometrist, Katherine Gouliaev, kindly fitted me in to have a look and see how she could help. She was professional, thorough and knowledgeable, educating me on ways to help ease my condition over the weekend, and has since called me to check in and see how it is going. I have never had a medical professional do this before! We will definitely be using Katherine for all our optical needs from now on, with my wife already booked in for her latest check. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Evans and McMahon to anyone:)

I highly recommend Evans & McMahon Optometrists Canberra. They have been looking after my eyes for a very long time, and ensured that I received the best care and treatment possible.

My son attended the practice to have a behavioral optimist assessment. As he is only 7 he was a little nervous and shy. Victoria who did his assessment not only made him comfortable but made the experience FUN! Victoria kept my son engaged and calm making the experience more than pleasant! Viv fitted me in for a consultation with Nick when I experienced blurring in one eye and difficulty reading. Firstly Nick allayed my fears and then conducted a thorough examination which included scans of my eyes. He explained in detail what was wrong and what could be done to fix the problem. Having entered as an extremely anxious patient I left with knowledge and confidence. Thank you Nick for your time and patience.

I have been a client for at least 2 decades. I cannot speak more highly of this practice. Victoria(Optometrist) and all staff and specialists are extremely professional and friendly and could not be more helpful.

Dr Hung is kind and thorough, the best optometrist I’ve ever seen. Front of house service is excellent, seriously make the normally mundane task of a trip to the optometrist an absolute joy. Especially recommend the practice to parents of neurodivergent kids, they take the time to properly assess, explain and support kids and teens through the process. Lenses are a little more expensive than your big chains but the quality is worth it, you get what you pay for and then some. Really cool collection of frames too!
