Jenny graduated from the University of NSW in 2008 with a Bachelor of Optometry. She has undertaken further study at the University of NSW, completing a postgraduate course in Ocular Therapeutics, and currently doing her Master in Specialty Contact Lenses and Behavioural Optometry.

Jenny has worked in private practices in regional NSW and Melbourne. She has been a visiting optometrist in remote Aboriginal community eye clinics with the Brien Holden Vision Institute. Her special interests include the management of eye disease, dry eye, complex contact lens fittings (including rigid lens fitting for keratoconus), and orthokeratology. She is qualified to prescribe eye medications in the management of eye infections and inflammatory disease.

Outside of work she is an amateur photographer, an enthusiastic consumer of good food, and enjoys playing the piano. She is sometimes described as a cat lady.
